Job Description:
This position is for an IT Support Specialist and will involve, among other duties, software installs, hardware break/fix support, SW/HW trouble-shooting, PC builds/deployments, case documentation and SLA adherence.
The successful applicant needs to have excellent technical skills, people skills and communication skills - both written and verbal. This role also requires the ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
The individual must be able to work without direction and needs to show a history of extremely strong software and hardware skills.
The successful applicant needs to be self-motivated, show initiative, and have the willingness to always 'get the job done' in a quick, professional manner.
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. May require an associate's degree in a related area or 0 - 1 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Qualifications:
A+ certification required
2+ years professional experience supporting a large user environment of 250+ 2+ years of end-user support in an IT environment Windows XP experience required; Windows 7 experience a plus Dell and HP hardware experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be self-motivated to achieve quality work
Must have a proven history of strong hardware and software skills in a Windows XP/7 environment. Experience required in building/imaging PCs
