Skills needed:
SC clearance/security clearance/ability to gain SC clearance, AAT Qualified or Part Qualified (CCAB) Accountant or equivalent working experience, Good working knowledge of Oracle Financials, Strong advanced Excel skills, Knowledge of commercial accounting.
My Milton Keynes client is looking for SC Cleared/Security Cleared AAT Qualified or Part Qualified (CCAB) Accountant for a 7 month contract to cover maternity leave.
Please note this is working on a SC cleared site, so due to the nature of the work, all candidates must have SC clearance prior to start date.
This SC Cleared/Security Cleared AAT Qualified or Part Qualified (CCAB) Accountant role is to:
* Provide metrics and analysis to support evidence based financial decision making.
* Detailed level analytical review of month end accounts.
* Run and update the monthly project account analysis reports for each corporate area for issue on morning of Day 3 of the MTA timetable.
* Update after Day 7 and Day 9 adjustments.
* Run the FSG reporting suite for the corporate areas, reconcile this to the project account analysis reports, resolve all variances and highlight key budget variances for further review by Head of Reporting.
* Prepare, upload (and where necessary reverse into the next period), all Day 7 and Day 9 adjustment batches.
* Create and prepare detailed analysis to provide information for the MTA Commentary.
* Variance analysis for payroll data for the corporate areas.
* Assist Head of Reporting with the Business Planning and quarterly RAPs, (Revised Annual Plans), for all the corporate areas.
* Update the Business Planning model with the workforce plan, cost and revenue detail.
The SC Cleared/Security Cleared AAT Qualified or Part Qualified (CCAB) Accountant role requires the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Qualified AAT or Part Qualified (CCAB) accountant or equivalent working experience
* Excellent Excel skills - working knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, If Statements, Macros etc
* Record of working on own initiative to deliver to deadlines
* Knowledge and previous experience of Oracle General Ledger and Projects Module.
* Understanding of the compilation of Income and Expenditure Accounts
* Understanding of commercial accounting.
* Attention to detail, producing work to a high level of accuracy.
* Proven track record of working to tight deadlines whilst juggling a variety of priorities to meet targets
