Safety Project Planning - Intermediate Safety Case and Report - Intermediate Safety Criteria and Risk Analyses - Intermediate Drive for Excellence - Intermediate Embracing Change - Intermediate Concern for Order and Detail - Intermediate Teamwork - Intermediate Should be able to work on own initiative and able to guide others. Knowledge of the some of the following essential Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Hazard Assessment, Operating and Support Hazard Analysis and Health Hazard Analysis documentation. Able to apply Hazard Identification (Checklist, HAZOP etc), Risk Analysis, Risk Assessment and Risk Management in line with project safety criteria. Personal integrity, interpersonal skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
Aerospace Background, Aerospace Degree or equivalent. Identified safety related courses advantageous Knowledge of aerospace product Safety/Certification programme. Ideally at least one year in system safety or reliability. Civil or Military Aircraft background, experience preferred. Strategy of Method of Compliance to requirements. Appreciation of system engineering principals is highly desirable. Conversant Safety Management System standards and procedures. Knowledge of H&S and Environmental Legislation and Regulations beneficial. Familiarisation with MIL STD 882, DEF STAN 00-56, ARP , RTCA D0 178B/254, MIL-STD 1629A, BCARs, JARs and FARs beneficial.
Production of Safety documentation in line with project requirements and criteria. Close liaison with Design Team and related engineering disciplines in support of producing System Safety documentation in line with project milestones. Administer Hazard Identification team meetings. Attend project meetings in support of safety. Guide and advise projects and junior Safety Engineers on best practice and better practice in the safety and/or airworthiness issues. Reporting to the Senior Safety Personnel for progress reporting, tasking and planning. Aid in the promotion of a Safety Culture within the company. Ensure industry best practice and better practice principles are applied.
