Document controller required with our client in Nailsea, a world leading Oil and Gas Company.

Scope
Process all incoming and outgoing Project documentation using the Company Documentation System in accordance with internal procedures and any specific Customer requirements as applicable for the individual Project.

Essential Responsibilities
* Accurately maintain archives and databases for Project documentation using in house document management system and Project specific spread sheets/databases.
* Collect, issue, receive and distribute incoming and outgoing Project documentation within pre-agreed timeframes.
* Storage of all incoming and outgoing project documentation using in house document management system.
* Generate and issue Project document status reports as required.
* Monitor status of project documentation on an ongoing basis and work with Project Team and internal departments to expedite overdue actions.
* Maintain Project Master Document List in accordance with, Company Documentation System requirements and Project requirements.
* Collate Project document status report and issue to internal & external customers.
* Attend Project meetings and report the current status against plan for project documentation.
* Ensure that Project documentation control meets with Project specific requirements in addition to all applicable internal policies and procedures.
* Personally take responsible for the quality of work, making a positive contribution to the output quality of the department.
* Document Controller is responsible for carrying out other documentation tasks and administrative activities as required by Project or, as directed by Functional Leader.

Qualifications/Requirements
* Experience of working with controlled document management in an Engineering, Projects or Manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the use of formalised document control processes and tools.
* Knowledge of documentation workflow, understands the processes involved in EDM.
* Be fully aware of the implications of errors in document management.
* Working knowledge of IT aspects of document management in addition to competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) at intermediate level.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the English Language (written and oral) with internal and external interfaces.
