Contract Community Manager - Social Media, Online communities- based in London/Manchester/Edinburgh for a 6 month contract - up to £18 per hour

Our client is a global multi media organisation who is at the forefront of this sector. They are a global enterprise and they currently have unfounded growth in the European region. A true entrepreneurial company with excellent opportunities.

The Community Manager will be responsible for outreach, user education, social media strategy and execution, content creation, large event planning/logistics and execution, product development, quality assurance, analysis and reporting and much more. They will also communicate user suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement, along with expanding their community members base and generating community awareness.

Significant community management experience is required as well as the ability to work with cross-functional and remotely-located teams while consistently delivering quality results at a very fast pace. Successful candidates will likely be local experts with a strong personal and professional network and a finger on the pulse of the local scene; they will also be articulate, good writers, flexible, strong leaders, self-starters, patient and able to work exceedingly well under pressure, even while working independently.

Minimum Requirements:

* BA/BS degree, preferably in a relevant discipline such as Digital Marketing, PR, Media, Communications, etc.
* 3+ years of relevant, professional social media and/or online Community Management experience (advanced working knowledge); Strong grasp of social media/digital marketing tools, trends and strategies. (experience managing a social media account - Twitter, FB, Google+)
* 2+ years experience planning, managing and executing events; Self-motivation and readiness to coordinate and execute events involving several different parties. (candidates should at least know how to prepare and plan an event for 50 people from scratch)
* Candidates must have lived in the location for a minimum of 4 years and be considered a local expert/influencer.
