Systems Engineer
4 month contract (with the possibility of extension)
€60 - €65 per hour
Antwerp, Belgium
One of our leading client's is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to assist them in their task of optimising equipment and the consolidation/move of application Servers. This is an opportunity for an IT Professional to work within a globally esteemed company whilst building their profile.
Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
Inventory applications and their contacts on the server portfolio o some 50 server
Discuss options for consolidating or moving to newer platform Servers
* Coordinate the activities required for the consolidation/move with the application owner, technology teams and the offshore operations partner
* Work with the project manager on communication & change management activities
Technical profile requirements:
* Sound experience as a Business Consultant/Systems Analyst with the following skills:
o analytics
o communication (mainly English)
o working in large complex environments
o working in virtual and international teams with offshored support organization
* Good understanding of:
o UNIX
o SAP
o Siebel
o Oracle
o JDE- Enterprise 1
o TCP/IP Networking
o shared platforms
o business critical applications
o Data Center Consolidation experience is a plus
+2 years experience:
BEA/Oracle Weblogic 8/10, Datacenter Project Management, JDE, Siebel, TCP/IP &UNIX
+5 years experience
GxP, ITIL - Certification Required OR Relevant Experience
*Bachelors Honours Degree Required
