WebSphere (SAP) Administrator - Luxembourg
Languages: ENGLISH (GERMAN or FRENCH is a plus)
Skills and experience:
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Works flexibly and is able to re-prioritize as needed
- Self- motivated and customer focused problem solver.
- Able to work independently as well as within our global team.
- Works under very minimal supervision, reports status of projects/work to management.
- Willing to participate in our team-wide 24/7 on call support of application.
- Candidate has experience with web application and Application Server technology such as JAVA, Apache or Tomcat.
- Candidate has experience with web applications such as IBM WebSphere, Tridion, SAP Portal
- Linux/Unix and Scripting skills are considered as an asset
- Understanding/Awareness of ERP software such as SAP is considered an asset
- Exposure to Networking infrastructure (Firewalls, etc) is considered as an asset
- Exposure to other technologies such as Databases is also seen as an asset
Description of work:
- performs technical work related to the installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of application systems needed to run business critical applications at an enterprise level.
- have an ability and desire to identify the source or errors through investigative work and log analysis.
- works with the rest of the global IT department and therefore the ability to work in a global team environment is important.
- interacts mainly with developers, but also vendors, and other Infrastructure colleagues to support their projects' needs and requirements.
- consults others regarding application systems.
