JOB PURPOSE
To design and implement credit management strategies that will enable the Loans business to control portfolio risk, deliver sustainable growth and meet customer needs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
Drive incremental & step change improvements in Collections & Recoveries strategy, policy and processes;
* Delivery of loan portfolio Collections & Recoveries performance in line with impairment plan
* Develop and test alternative strategies, policies and processes to continuously improve results
* Manage the delivery of strategy and process enhancements through agreed change processes.
* Implement and maintain effective portfolio MI and measures to monitor operational performance levels and track the benefits associated with strategy changes.
* Identify and evaluate deficiencies and potential enhancements for Collections & Recoveries system infrastructure.
Liaise with Credit Operations to implement new strategies, improve existing strategies and deliver upon existing commitments;
* Drive greater understanding of Collections & Recoveries systems and processes within operations to achieve sustainable improvements
* Implement strategy, policy and process compliance measurement and reporting to ensure strategies deployed through operational execution. When disconnects are identified, partner with operations management to resolve.
* Identify and deliver improvements to the range of account treatment and negotiation options available to operational agents
* Monitor operational performance on both an intra-month and monthly basis and suggest methods to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external suppliers & stakeholders;
* Liaise with colleagues within the team and across partnering business functions such as product, finance, marketing and Credit Operations.
* Communicate effectively, making considered recommendations persuasively to colleagues and senior management.
