Description
Our client a global tier 1 investment bank han an urgent need for a Senior Valuation Controller. You will perform Independent Price Verification (IPV) analysis of ABS assets held globally and ensure that these are appropriately valued with respect to current best practice and Accounting Standards.
Main duties:
- A senior member of a team of approximately 6 controllers who perform IPV and impairment review.
- To be able to provide cover for the majority of other team members
- Produce significant parts of the IPV analysis for the ABS business including Global Asset Management portfolio.
- Ensure overall management of processes and methods by which IPV and impairment is captured in the books.
- Responsible for quarterly validation of the Weighted Average Life (WAL) of assets calculated by Front Office.
- Responsible for the control and functionality around the SIV database and act as an approver of any methodology changes.
- To ensure that all output is produced in a timely and accurate manner
- To work with Business Financial Control to deliver a single view of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Preparation of appropriate Management Information for the tracking of results, workload and exceptions
