Description
Microsoft SQL senior database administrator with specific experience in SQL database migrations to manage corporate databases, manage replication, assist in migrations, co-ordinate database release process, risk management and provide support. Candidates should have 5+ years in a database management position working with Microsoft SQL Server 200x. They will implement and provide recommendations on migrations, performance, stability, security and application development.
Requirements
- Microsoft SQL Server 200x administration in an enterprise environment
- Experience in large scale migration projects with the ability to manage risk and dependencies
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery options for MS SQL server
- Implement failover clustering, log shipping, and database mirroring for high availability
- Manage and tune snapshot, transactional, and merge replication
- Administer SQL Server Analysis Services and Reporting Services
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune performance
- Design and reporting skills
- Database change control and documentation
Also Required:
- 5+ years relevant SQL DBA experience
- Technology-related qualification and Microsoft qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to solve issues and deliver on commitments made
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
