SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant (NATO)
Please note that only candidates who currently hold NATO SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE will be considered.
Consulting services will cover the following SAP BW/BI activities:
- SAP BW operations: jobs planning and scheduling, data uploads follow-up, BW System usage follow-up, Cleaning actions
- Maintenance and improvements (through the AO-A Service Desk system) of the existing BI solutions: ETL programs, BEx queries, Web templates, BIS reports
- Implementation (through the AO-A Service Desk Change Requests) of new BI solutions
- Support in upgrading projects (from BW 3.5 objects to BW 7.x/BI 4.0)
- SAP BI technology watch
- Provide Advanced technological support and advice for BI solutions evolution and improvement (BO solutions, broadcasting, IP (Integrated Planning), BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
Experience
- At least five years experience in SAP BW & BI,
- At least one major BI migration project completed (to BW 7.x),
- At least one project implementation of BO on top of BI.
Technical Skills
- Broad technical knowledge of the SAP BW area (versions 3.x and 7.x).
- Data Warehousing Workbench,
- BEx Designer,
- Web Application Designer,
- Planning Modeler for BI IP,
- BW techniques to access external sources,
- Practical experience in Advanced Business Application Programming
(ABAP/4 and FOX),
- Knowledge of the SAP Portal environment
- Knowledge of the SAP Business Intelligence platform (BI4) and tools:
- SAP BO Universe design tool
- SAP BO Dashboards,
- SAP BO Analysis, edition for OLAP,
- SAP BO Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office,
- SAP BO Web Intelligence (Webi),
- SAP BO Crystal report.
- Demonstrated Business Analysis and Reporting Strategy skills,
- Demonstrated BI project management and leadership skills,
- Ability to scope and plan required work to implement BI solutions,
- Strong task and time management skills,
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills (in English):
- Ability to prepare concise and well structured customer reports,
- Ability to explain issues at different levels of the hierarchy,
- A fair knowledge of the French language would be an asset.
- Knowledge of the NSPA BI reporting e nvironment would be an asset: BEx solutions and Business Information System (BIS).
