Position within a growing industry and company. This is a 6+ month contract located in the Los Angeles area. This is a fantastic company. You will be working with a very technical team and they are searching for a candidate that has experience testing on applications and systems (both web and windows) for payment processing or debit/credit card.

SUMMARY:
The SQA Automation Engineer - is a key contributor to the design, implementation and maintenance of the testing framework, to support the Quality Assurance life cycle with test activities surrounding the company set of business services. This individual will bring new testing methodologies and work closely with development teams to ensure quality during development phases. The right candidate will be able to learn quickly, be achievement focused, meticulous in detail, flexible and innovative in their approach to tackling varied testing challenges, and will always strive to improve the quality of their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, design and write code to build a robust testing framework, automation and testing tools.
  • Automate service oriented test scenarios to effectively test applications.
  • Partner with development teams to ensure quality early and support a TDD software methodology.
  • Understanding of various testing and software methodologies
  • Provide support, training and documentation for QA team, to include best practices and increase automation coverage
  • Develop test strategies, plans, metrics extraction and results analysis documentation
  • Participate in planning discussions with Development and QA teams
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information, including Protected Consumer Information (PCI) and Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Administer duties as defined by the Green Dot performance review plan within the required deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of software quality assurance test experience with a minimum of 3 years focused on building test automation frameworks.
  • 3+ years of development experience in a .NET environment for both Web and Windows applications using C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.
  • 3+ years of database experience using MS SQL server
  • Experience designing and developing a test automation framework.
  • Working knowledge of load generation and measurement software
  • In-depth experience with performance metrics extraction and reporting tools
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases and scripts
  • Knowledge of the entire software development process (SDLC)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills in a technical environment
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight
  • Good team player with the ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in a related technical field or equivalent education/work experience
PREFERRED:
  • BA/BS or graduate degree in software engineering/computer science
  • Database knowledge (MS SQL Server); able to write complex SQL queries and understand data relationships
