System Development Officer (Web - GIS)
A prestigious Global Governmental Body, aligned to the Food and Agriculture Organisation, is currently looking for a System Development Officer to provide support on the development and implementation of the monitoring systems in various countries.
Candidates must have:
- University Degree in Computer Sciences, Physics or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the area of web-GIS Data Management and Applications Development.
- Java and Javascript client side applications Development.
- International experience or experience working with developing countries.
Candidates will be reviewed in their knowledge of Satellite Monitoring Systems, Extent and Relevance of Linux Server Administration, experience in OpenLayers, Geoserver, postGIS, GRASS GISS, gdal and Tomcat. Candidates must be able to work as an effective team member and have excellent communication skills. Candidates do NOT have to speak Italian.
