Nature of Service
Database administration and system engineering services on CouchDB.
This database will be hosted on internally provisioned Linux Servers.
What you will do:
1. Making the system available.
a. Initial infrastructure audit.
b. Database installation.
c. Database configuration.
d. Database optimalisation.
2. System activity follow-up.
a. Error and performance monitoring.
b. Performance management.
c. System and database tuning.
d. Incident and problem resolution.
e. Periodical health checkups
f. System fix-pack apply and version upgrade
3. Routine housekeeping.
a. Reorganizations.
b. Database backup.
c. Storage management.
4. Disaster management.
a. Redundant systems implementation.
b. Database recovery.
5. Other activities.
a. Restore of data from production into development environments for testing purposes.
b. Reporting and verification of SLAs services.
c. CouchDB competence centre set up support.
What you will bring:
Database (NOT ONLY SQL) data store administration experience in heterogeneous systems.
Long work experience with large databases.
Excellent communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
Proven aptitudes to cooperate with other engineering areas covering diverse technical specialties.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
