SOA Tester with TMap & Lead Experience
The role involves system testing of applications, working closely with software developers in an agile type development environment. The test engineer will be responsible for creating and executing a wide variety of tests at feature and system level. The system requirements specification shall form the basis for these test cases. Other important tasks include detection and management of defects from inception to verification and closure. The role also involves maturity of existing processes which are based on TMap.
Specific Tasks to be performed during the engagement/Key Deliverables/Milestones:
- Design and execute test cases based on system requirements
- Communicate with multiple stake-holders in order to understand requirements
- Perform system integration testing to verify integration to Legacy system and services
- Design test input data and their expected results
- Create stubbed/mock services to support performance and function testing
- Produce test reports and analysis of the results
- Automate tests and execute them in the relevant test environments
- Execute standalone testing of SOA services
- Test Process maturity work
Module/technical skills required:
Must have/mandatory skills:
- Successful applicants must have 5+ years test experience in systems integration testing
- TMap certified
- Experience of OBPM, BPMN and Business Rules Management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently to meet predefined project deadlines
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments, web Servers, Java, XML, SQL or Oracle databases and solid understanding of TCP/IP
- Excellent knowledge of software quality assurance and test best practices and methodologies
- Direct hands-on experience of automated testing tools, such as QTP and soapUI, with the ability to create test scripts in such tools
- Working knowledge of HP Quality Centre
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration Testing and the tools used in such a development environment (Hudson, ANT, Maven)
