Description
Title: Electrical Technician (level II)General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature in which ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
Performs a variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments which can include cleaning, filling, processing, assembly, packaging and testing
Defines data for collection and reporting
Provides documentation of events and status including analysis and recommendations for improvement
Maintains records and complies with regulatory requirements, safety regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
Sets up and performs major PMs on complex pieces of equipment
Recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield
Performs moderately complex troubleshooting and calibration of instruments
Diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with minimal direction or documentation; analyze to correct problems. Analyzes data and interprets results
May assist with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications
May weigh, measure and check materials to assure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities
Math and basic algebra skills are required for procedural calculations
Technical Associate's degree and 2 years Technician experience
