Description
This company requires a talented Network Engineer who is currently holding Security clearance to join part of a growing and highly experienced team. This contract role offers an opportunity to work with some of the best technical minds in the industry.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in the following:
Tech:
- Cisco, CCNA,CCNP
- Routing Protocols incl. MPLS/VPLS, BGP, OSPF, GRE
- Cisco SLB, HSRP and VRRP
- TCP/IP protocols
- Ethernet/L2 switching
- DNS
- WAN/LAN infrastructure
- VOIP & Sip
- Cisco 65XX, 28XX, 72XX, PIX and ASA Firewalls
The role:
- 3rd level support to the in house and field engineering team.
- Adhere to strict Service Level Agreements for faults and service requests
- Network infrastructure architecture and design
- Support to sales staff in pre-sales environment
- New product evaluation and implementation
- Design and configuration of Network Core architectures
- Technical approval of Change Controls
- Act as Technical Design Authority on major projects
Skills & Experience:
You should will have a minimum of Cisco CCNA,CCNP qualification and have a firm grasp of the following:
- Extensive experience of Routing Protocols incl. MPLS/VPLS, BGP, OSPF, GRE, EIGRP
- Experience of Cisco SLB, HSRP and VRRP
- Extensive experience with TCP/IP protocols
- In depth knowledge of Ethernet/L2 switching
- In depth knowledge of DNS
Extensive experience of WAN/LAN infrastructure implementation & support - Cisco 65XX, 28XX, 72XX, PIX and ASA Firewalls
- Linux and Windows Server knowledge
- Exchange Server, AD
- Access technologies including SHDSL, ADSL, wireless etc.
- Extensive experience with VOIP technologies including SIP and hosted solutions.
