Senior Systems Analyst

Harvey Nash has an excellent contract (or permanent) opportunity for a Senior Systems Analyst to join a leading multinational providing financial solutions and transactions management. As a Systems Analyst on the team, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements for the new product. You will play a key role in meeting end users' and client's business needs, maintaining a reputation for delivering high quality data and services.
Daily rate: 300
Location: Galway/Dublin
Term: 6 months +
Primary Responsibilities:
o Work with senior business analysts to understand business requirements and create system requirements documentation.
o Assist in the migration to new hardware (Linux x86) and software (Informatica PowerCenter 9.1, OBIEE 11g, Oracle 11g, OBI DAC ) for the analytics application.
o Work with developers to refine system requirements and contribute to the systems design of batch schedules (ETL routines, OBIEE metadata and interactive dashboards)
o Perform data mapping analysis.
o Assist in building BI reports.
o Assist in the coordination and execution of systems integration and user acceptance testing.
o Assist in the estimation, planning, and management of work within Fidelity Agile Methodology (FAM).
o Work closely with the project manager, product line architect, business analyst, developers, QA testers, and administration groups to understand requirements and develop appropriate solutions that are right-sized, and scalable.
o Produce clear, concise design documentation and reviews to facilitate development and quality assurance testing..
o Provide support of product and project status to management.
o Work effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
Requirements:
o 5+ years of systems analysis experience within the IT field, financial services, or related environment.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
o Documentation of business processes and workflow experience a plus.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high quality results.
o SQL expertise.
