Job Title: CE&I Engineer
Location: Cheshire
Duration: 12 Months +
As part of an initiative to expand their existing Control & Instrumentation department, a global leader in Nuclear R&D and Production is looking to recruit a contract CE&I Engineer for an initial period of 12 Months. Based in the Cheshire office, the role will also require travel to projects in worldwide locations, including the US, Germany, Holland and other European sites.
Joining the CE&I section of the group, you will answer to the CE&I Design Manager but will also be required to support various Lead Engineers as projects progress. Following standard designs already established by the company, you will ensure satisfactory implementation of control and instrumentation systems at various plant sites, as well as approving drawings submitted by the existing draughting team and other subcontractors. There may also be a requirement for you to assist with checks to supplier test specifications and attend further tests at supplier factories.
You'll need to demonstrate a strong background in and understanding of C&I systems design and specification, ideally with industry experience in the nuclear sector (although similar process industry experience is acceptable). All technical specifications for projects you are involved in must be produced using Boolean logic, so you must be able to demonstrate experience in completing these from previous assignments. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of computer literacy, including the ability to generate logic diagrams using Visio.
