Project Planner London, Reading or Crawley, £350 per day

The Project Planner will be a main team player on the High Speed 2 rail project.

This role is suitable for contract or permanent Project Planner and is based in Reading, Crawley or SE London, Dependent on the candidate.

Candidates must have on sight background in the construction sector or in major infrastructure project environments such as Rail, Road and Tunnelling Etc.

Our Client is looking for a Candidate with the ALL of the following skills.
* A minimum of 5 years in a Planning role including setting up and maintaining a project schedule/Plan.
* Experience in developing detailed schedules.
* Experience in working in complex projects/programmes.
* Developed communications skills.
* Solid experience in analysing and maintaining project schedules and preparing progress reports.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
* Incorporating any scope changes and trends into the schedule/plan
* Practical road construction experience
* Proven earthworks logistics and mass haul knowledge
* Road and rail planning experience
* Experience in Tendering project and face to face meeting with stakeholders and customers.
* Ability to influence peers, customers and stakeholders to achieve strong outcomes.
* Solid teamwork skills to achieve a common goal.
* Excellent business development skills, ability to represent the brand to customer well.
* Ability to lead a team of support planners and project controls personnel.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, high tempo environment.
* Ability to manage complex projects to enforce change in various organisations.
* Degree Level Qualifications or relevant experience

Successful candidates will have three of the following:
* Sound risk management skills.
* Strong planning capability in Primavera P6/Open Plan Professional.
* Sound programme cost control capabilities.
* Experience of applying Earned Value Management in complex projects.
