Our Client is seeking to contract a Solution Architect to support the design and build of their 'enterprise integration project'. The project aims to centralize multiple systems on to a singular platform, to enhance student learning. This is a high profile project, requiring significant experience in enterprise scale solutions architecture and project methodologies.

Role Description

You will work with stakeholders and vendors to maintain and document the end-to-end system architecture.

The architect will need to integrate and support the configuration of multiple off-the-shelf systems including Finance, HR and Student Information Systems, with an identity solution that will provision information to an Enterprise Learning Management System.

The architect will apply their subject matter expertise, and knowledge of software development life cycle and project methodology, in their work with vendors and internal stakeholders, to ensure coordinated and best practice architecture.

Key selection criteria

  • Experience developing enterprise level architectures that cover the domains of identity and security management (provisioning, authentication, authorization) and business, information and applications technology
  • Demonstrated experience in ICT project initiation and Request for Tender processes, including evaluation of tender responses, and detailed design.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and documenting scalable systems and their interactions using UML standards, including sequence and collaboration diagrams
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including:
  • experience in facilitation and consultation;
  • the ability to lead and operate within a team;
  • the capacity to communicate effectively
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to be flexible and adaptable in managing change
  • Skills & Experience

  • Subject Matter Expertise in identity, role based access, and single sign-on,
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology or information systems.
  • Experience with LDAP, AD, SOAP, SAML, and Oracle Identity Directory (OID) advantageous
  • Experience with Finance, HR, or Student Information Systems advantageous
  • Experience as the lead Solution Architect in enterprise level project, involving multiple heterogeneous systems
  • To develop the overall Solution Architecture Definition (SAD) document and component specification within the SAD
  • To support the development the projects System Architecture working with the Project Team and vendors, mapping the requirements to the architecture and defining the non-functional requirements
  • To support the evaluation of RFQ responses for the supply of the project enterprise systems and integration services
  • To engage with vendors and key stakeholders, including business managers, project sponsors, and technical resources in the development of enterprise architecture
  • This is a senior role, reporting directly to the project director. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in similar projects, intrinsic leadership capabilities and proven experience in handling tender processes.
