8+ Month Contract

Contract Rate: $55 per hour W2

The Contact Center Strategy (CCS) sub-portfolio within the Health Plan Business Information Office (HP BIO) of Client's IT department is seeking an exceptional Senior Programmer Analyst to provide design and development of new and existing reporting applications and Merced Reports. Primarily this position will take on building and enhancements to our new Merced Reporting and Analytics framework. Additionally, he/she will participate in analysing, planning, developing, testing, and implementing other new and existing programs to support the CCS. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Design and build various Merced Reporting and Analytics reports and dashboards to support major Contact Center and Telephony Infrastructure project. 
  • Provide second tier technical support for MSCC Merced Reporting and Analytics application. 
  • Maintain and support data integration to including the coordination and tracking of multiple Data Integration with Merced Reporting and Analytics application from internal, external and vendor applications. 
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, including the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation actions. 
  • Work directly with customers, technical support specialists, subject matter experts and software engineers to resolve technical issues 
  • Proactively review and track support trends related to hardware and software issues and propose resolutions 
  • Participate in the development and support of new and existing CCS applications that utilize Merced, Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, C# and Java. 
  • Participate in program release activities. 
  • Participate throughout the entire hardware and software development life cycle. 
  • Develop software test cases and participate in software verification and validation. 
  • Develop test plans and test cases for new software and hardware features. 
  • Review and test code. 
  • Provide and update program documentation. 
  • Help develop software tools, as needed, for testing and support. 
  • Work closely with business partners to understand their changing needs and make appropriate recommendations to new and existing applications. 
  • Work with external vendors to implement regular program releases of IVR. 
  • Coordinate upgrade/program release activities for internal and vendor supported applications. 
  • Communicate effectively to team members, management and business partners. 
  • Use business and technical knowledge to conduct highest level analyses regarding program/application/system and making strategic recommendations to management. 
  • Estimate application program requirements (ie internal, client and vendor resources, etc.) 
  • Plan, schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives. 

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

  • 5+ years experience in the design, development and support of custom reporting applications. (Preferably in the Contact Centers). 
  • Expert level experience with multiple relational databases required. Must have significant experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server. 
  • Must have significant experience developing in multi-dimensional reporting environment. 
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Merced Performance Suite 
  • Ability to develop advanced concepts, techniques and standards. 
  • Preferred knowledge of client's business across all infrastructure areas required. 
  • Technical certifications preferred, and/or required, where applicable. 
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles. 
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry/domain. 
  • Experience in Contact Center environment. 
  • Experience in the development and support of IVR applications. 
  • Familiarity with Mainframe, UNIX and Windows systems architecture. 

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience with Windows and UNIX Shell Scripting desired 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum practices strongly desired. 
  • Knowledge of policies, practices and systems. 
  • Experience in implementing custom applications (CRM, BPM and other Contact Center application systems a plus). 
  • Familiarity with any Client applications is beneficial. 

Education Requirement: 

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science

  • Strong written, oral communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work and communicate with clients, other IT staff, vendors, external partners, System Integrators etc. 
  • Ability to maintain standards, prioritize project work to meet customer's needs. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with limited supervision.
