Description
We are currently seeking a number of long term Mechanical Assembly fitters to work within a world class engineering environment for one of the most prestigious companies in Yorkshire.
The opportunities have arisen due to a sharp increase in work demand and are fully expected to last in excess of 12 months. The positions are based on either a double day shift or a continental shift pattern (excluding weekends) Ideal candidates will be from the Yorkshire area and have previous mechanical assembly experience within an engineering environment. These roles are paid via the traditional PAYE method plus 33 days holiday entitlement paid at basic x1.33 basic rate.
* Working within a medium to heavy engineering environment (dependant upon area)
* Working to standard operating procedures (SOP's)
* Assembly of medium to heavy assemblies for the Oil & Gas industry
* Working with hydraulics, pipework and high value assemblies
* Working on either a 12 hour shift system both days and nights. Working 10 shifts over 21 days or a double day 8 hour working shift pattern.
* Crane and slinging work (training provided)
* These roles are paid in the traditional PAYE method plus 33 days holiday entitlement paid at x1.33 basic rate.
* Overtime paid at time and a half and double time respectively
* Time served - Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship
* Previous experience of assembly an engineering environment.
* Experience of working to tolerances of (+/- .002")
* Be an effective communicator at all levels
* IT literate is preferred
