About the role

  • You will provide support to end users on 3 customer sites ( 1 in Germany, 2 in Austria ) giving general support on the IT infrastructure.
  • You will also be involved in installation of network equipment, mainly plugging in Switches.
  • You will not actively be involved in software configuration tasks as this will be handled by a Central team whenever required.
  • You will provide support on end user incidents, such as problems with a handset, the patching, the end user cabling. Support on installing end user devices; support and guidance to the end user on working with the handsets, plugging in the cables into the outlets, etc.
  • The main objective of the on-site Support includes the communication infrastructure related to the site and to the user desk on customer premises:
  • Patching requirements: in the patch panel, between network equipments, etc, as instructed by the Central Team
  • Handsets both traditional, analog and IP: testing, troubleshooting and installation of the terminals in the user's desk
  • Hands and Eyes service for the Central Team: cabling, WAN and LAN equipment, VoIP, voice Legacy equipments, etc
  • Patching new users to the LAN, WAN and Voice infrastructure in the site, mainly for adding new users, moving users between desks, removing users.
  • Knowledge on cabling, from the users' IT equipment (handsets, PC's laptops and so on) to the patch panel, network equipment and between floors and buildings within the same site.
