My national insurance client is seeking a senior Infrastructure Architect who has previously integrated ESB for SOA - Requires solution integration with existing infrastructure to enable greater flexibility moving forward...

If selected YOU will be responsible for working with other architects to ensure solutions meet key functional and non-functional requirements & ensure that architectural principles and processes are integrated with service management and solution deployment processes.

Work of the role:

  • The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the development of logical and physical reference architectures, standards, road maps and investment plans in line with the IT strategy
  • Leverage existing enterprise architecture assets (business processes, applications, data, technology) and ensure alignment with the target Enterprise Architecture blueprint and IT road maps
  • Provide a bridge between specific business problems and issues and the BU solutions which are needed to support them

Essential skills required:

  • Integration focused on ESB & SOA
  • Background in insurance - highly desired
  • Ability to document and design SOA
  • Understanding of Mainframe platforms - DB2 & Cobol
  • Understanding of SOA and its integration with existing platforms
  • 10+ years in systems development
  • 5+ years in solution/technical architecture
  • Experience with formal iterative methods - ITIL/TOGAF - Desired
