VMware Specialist
Our client is a large telecommunications looking to recruit a VMware Specialist to join their team. This is a contract position located in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Input to virtual environment design & co-ordinate internal reviews & sign offs
- Liaise with internal teams to assist with all aspects of server/application discovery
- Manage & support virtual environment including backups
- Manage virtual environment, network & storage capacity
Candidate skills:
- Expert knowledge of virtualization in VMware products/technologies including vCentre 5, SRM & vStorage API
- VMware Certified
- 5+ years experience in similar role
- Proven end to end P2V migration experience (discovery, planning, migration, test, rollback)
- Experience managing VMware platform of 300+ VMs
- Technical expertise in Windows Servers up to 2008
- Technical expertise in Linux Servers
- Excellent knowledge of server networking technologies including Firewalls and SAN architectures
- Experience working in large corporate/ITIL environment
- Degree in Computing Science
- Microsoft Certification
- Netbackup 7
