Open Systems Technician - Unix, 1st level Operations, Remedy, High Availability
A vacancy has become available within a financial services organisation for a contract Technician role in a UNIX environment. As part of a 24x7 rotating shift structure, the successful candidate will be responsible for 1st level monitoring, initial investigation, escalation and 1st level fix in support of the high availability services.
Essential:
- Experience in a similar 1st level operations role working with high availability services
- Knowledge of UNIX applications
- Understanding fundamentals of Connect Direct, Oracle, DB2, Tivoli TEC and Internet working protocols and topologies
- Knowledgeable in the use of all Windows based workstations and applications
- Knowledge or use of Incident and Change Management Tools would be useful, preferably Remedy
- Proven experience working to and meeting service level expectations
