Senior User Acceptance Test Analyst x 2, Isle of Man - 6 month fixed term contract - £38kMy client is looking for two Senior UAT Analysts for the testing and implementation of a new software solution for wealth management. These positions are Full time based on the Isle of Man, however occasional travel to the clients Southampton offices may be required.
The Business Test Analyst is responsible for ensuring that testing meets the standards defined by the programme and for providing testing support to the team throughout the testing cycle. The successful candidate must have previous experience of business testing in a wealth management or financial services environment, excellent communications, organisation and personal computer skills. Knowledge of TCS BaNCS system would be a considerable advantage but is not essential. Although this role is for an initial 6 month period, it is possible that this will be extended
Reporting to the UAT Manager, the key responsibilities of the Senior User Acceptance Tester are:
- Working with the Lead SMEs to develop business test scenarios
- Documenting the test scenarios and obtaining sign-off as necessary
- Working with a team of offshore technical testers, translating the test scenarios into test cases for input to Quality Centre.
- Ensuring requirements are mapped to test cases and amendments from SME reviews are applied as needed.
- Planning and preparing User Acceptance testing according to the plan prepared by the Business Test Manager and Lead SME
- Ensuring the quality of test cases and defect reports from team members
- Preparing the test data needed for the test cases and assisting the SMEs and user testers during test execution
- Maintaining the test case library
The role of Senior User Acceptance Tester requires the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of software testing and user acceptance testing in a wealth management or financial services system is essential
- Experience and knowledge of TCS BaNCS system would be an advantage
- Self-motivated with excellent organisation and coordination skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent personal computer skills and able to deliver work to high standards
- Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (essential)
- Experience of working with HP Quality Centre or similar test management toolset.
