System Engineer/Infrastructure Architect (AIX/UNIX/SOLARIS)
The Unix System Engineer (SE) acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the AIX environment.
System Engineer. Infrastructure Architect. AIX. Unix. Solaris. This role consists of implementing changes on a new/running infrastructure(s), particularly in a project consisting in separating part of the SAP environments into a new company structure.
On top of this, the systems engineer must be able to assist in problem solving and to delegate work to other people working in an offshore Unix Team. Finally, the systems engineer will investigate possible ways to improve the running infrastructure.
We are looking for candidates with a high level of AIX knowledge and experience. A good knowledge of Solaris would be advantageous.
The position is based in Brussels. English is the working language for the role. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a bonus. We are looking to someone to start ASAP. The initial contract is until the end of the year initially with a view to extend thereafter.
