Contract Manager - Defence, Manufacturing - Aftermarket Contract Support
We are keen to secure the services of an experienced Contracts Manager to assist our client with Aftermarket Product Support Agreements. The 12 month assignments will be with be with a Global Aerospace and Defence Engineering company so experience in this sector or in Electro-magnetic product manufacturing will be advantageous. The individual will be responsible for managing all aspects relating to the introduction of a Product Support Agreement to identified key suppliers. This will involve interaction with key stakeholders from across the business as well as liaison and involvement with other functional expertise in the Engineering, Commercial, finance and Supply Chain disciplines.
It is intended for this individual to become the focal point for all matters relating to the Product Support Agreements and any associated licences, including taking a lead role in negotiations. The individual is expected to operate within the bounds of the allocated budget, particularly with respect to licence agreements and be able to provide regular updates with respect to commercial, financial and risk aspects where this is not possible.
The successful candidate is likely to bring the following skills and experience: extensive knowledge, understanding and experience in aftermarket support models and their interdependencies; a talent for negotiating in a 'low power' relationship; strong commercial management background; service procurement contracting experience; product Support Agreement contractual coverage across the supply base; and mitigation of aftermarket risk exposure by achieving the appropriate back-to-back service contract arrangements with the supply chain.
