Title: Oracle Financial Consultant - Functional
Type: Contract- 3 months
Location: Atlanta, GA 30329
Our client is seeking a Functional Oracle Financial Consultant for a 3 month contract position in Atlanta, GA. This role will be responsible for providing functional support in financial modules of Oracle E-business Suite (Federal Financials - encumbrance & accrual accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, Cost Management, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Receivables) while upgrading it from R11.5.10 to R12.1.3. The Oracle Financial Consultant should have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as end user support experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager and lead, functioning as the subject matter expert for the modules of the application and reviewing project-related documents, test scripts, test results, and training documents to ensure they are accurate and comprehensive.
- Analyze application functionality change through the upgrade and apply them to the upgraded version of the application.
- Document key application changes through the upgrade, and provide user training on them.
- Conduct research and testing of patches necessary to correct bugs and enhance application functionality during the upgrade.
- Review application customization and extension and make sure that they are functioning after the upgrade.
- Evaluate new functionalities in R12 suitable to the organization in R12 and make recommendations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or appropriate years of experience in related field.
- 5+ years functional support experience with the following modules of Oracle E-business Suite R11i &R12: Oracle Federal Financials - encumbrance & accrual accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payables, and Purchasing is required.
- Project experience of the upgrade from R11i to R12 with modules mentioned above along with strong understanding of Sub-ledger Accounting Engine is required.
- Working knowledge with month-end and year-end processes on both R11i and R12 versions are required with respect to the required modules
- Experience in Cost Management, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Receivables is highly desirable.
