Role Overview:
- PC Builds - Create, Test, Manage and Deploy standardised images of Prisons computers and Servers to allow consistent rollout of new PC's/Laptops/Thin Clients
- Application Deployment - Create, test, and deploy applications as standardised installation packages for use in all Windows O/S. Manage the software deployment process utilising DFS, Citrix, Terminal Services using Group Policies, AD and VB Scripts.
- Problem Management - Troubleshoot PC build and application related deployment problems to point of resolution.
- Scripting - Maintain administration VBScripts for use within AD, Citrix and Windows.
- Active Directory Management - Monitor and maintain AD replication, troubleshoot AD problems
- Server Installs, both Physical & Virtual - Install and configure Servers including Site Links, DNS, DFS, Group Policies, Active Directory
- Desktop Security - Maintain and manage the encryption and biometric scanning environment within IPS.
- Server Management, both Physical & Virtual - Troubleshoot server problems, maintain server patch levels
- Software Deployment - Manage the software deployment process
- Scripting - Maintain/administration VBScripts
- SharePoint - Maintain/Administer the Portal
- Desktop Security - Maintain and manage the encryption and biometric scanning environment.
