Description
Our Direct Client in Los Angeles is looking for a Web Designer for a 6 month contract. The Web Designer on the Web team collaborates with business and technical teams to advocate for and develop user-centered design and interaction concepts. S/he is a member within the Creative Services team which is a multi-disciplinary group of user interface designers, visual designers, and writers/editors who collaborate closely with each other and with the larger organization to create compelling, user-friendly and informative customer experiences for a variety of audiences. Overtime: straight time
- Three to seven years of experience designing for large, complex websites or desktop applications that integrate database-driven content, including enhanced media with application-like functionality.
- Strong interaction design and communication skills; solid understanding of design principles.
- Keen design sensibility and a passion for design, from high-level concept to pixel-level detail.
- A proven track record collaborating on and distilling complex issues into easy-to-understand requirements.
- A talent for synthesizing research, market trends, competitive data, etc. into successful designs.
- Proficiency with design software (eg, Photoshop and Illustrator) and an understanding of Visio, InDesign, Fireworks and Flash.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in product design, interaction design, or human-computer interaction.
