Description
Software Test Engineer required by a global market leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power electronic, communications and IT products. The Software Test Engineer will be based in the Software Integration (SWI) department Development and Engineering sector. Software Test Engineers will be based in The Netherlands on a long term contract to permanent basis.Role Purpose: The Software Integration department specifies, executes and controls the testing and integration of the various software systems into a release. As the Software Test Engineer you will ensure good efficient testing and qualification of new software, either released as a new release version or in service packs.
Role Description:
* Determine the test impact deliverables from a customer point of view and test from that system perspective.
* Define and execute software qualification tests on the new proto type systems and on test benches.
* Create system level tests to qualify the system and the software and to test the reliability of the system. Tests are typically implemented in the form of Python scripts, any experience with Python will be an advantage.
* Test and problem analysis, reporting and continuous improvement.
Education:
* Bachelor or Master Degree (WO/HBO) education level
* Computer Science, Physics, Electronics, Mechanics, Mathematics or comparable
Experience Required:
* Experience in testing high-tech systems
* Experience deducting test plans from documents
* Programming experience with Python and Unix is an advantage
* Some experience and interest in automation
* Good knowledge of both the English and Dutch language
