Description
Stress Engineers and Fatigue Engineers are required for long term contract positions with an International Engineering company with a core focus on the Aerospace sector. This client offers high technology engineering services in aeronautical and aerospace environments including design, development, production, certification, installation and support. As a skilled Stress Engineer and/or Fatigue Engineer you will have a career background within the aerospace sector and will bring your structural analysis expertise join a growing team of engineers responsible for newly won contracts at this client`s facility in Northern Germany.Responsibilities:
* Engineering focus on Primary Structures related to Airbus technologies
* Pre-dimensioning and pre-design in accordance with stress and production departments
* Focus on skin calculations, skin strength analysis and related areas
* Detailed design and data for manufacture respecting the rules of the OEM
* Validate and justify by stress calculations the different technical solutions
* Creation of relevant documentation
* Work with relevant Engineering teams
Skills should include:
* Ideally you will be University educated with an Engineering degree
* Experience working as an Engineer in the aerospace/aviation sector
* Specific experience as a Stress Engineer or Fatigue Engineer and knowledge of Airbus stress methods and structural analysis
* Good understanding of analytical analysis methods and Airbus methods
* Significant knowledge about design methodology and light-weight design and metal and composite materials including fibre-reinforced
* Experience with Nastran, Patran, Hypermesh, Hyperworks, Abaqus
* ISSY, ISAMI, SAFE
* Catia V5 design experience
* SRM Analysis
* English language skills, written and spoken
* Other language skills including German or French would be helpful but not essential
