As a Project Manager is required to play a key role in tackling the range of exciting and interesting engineering and commercial challenges unique to offshore wind farms. Accept day to day accountability for management of contracts or groups of contracts which are in excess of �£250 million in value.
-Support the development of projects during the pre-sanction stage by providing expertise on construction related issues and managing pre-construction survey works
-Managing a contract or set of contracts covering; design, manufacturing, Installation and commissioning
-Managing the technical aspects of the contract and ensuring the designs comply with the specification
-Management of a team containing specialists in Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Commercial Management, Operations, Development, Quality Assurance, Cost Management, Planning and Offshore Construction with specific responsibilities for individual sections of a contract or set of contract
-Ensuring adequate auditing of the technical specification during design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning to ensure compliance by the contractor
-Management of a contract or set of contracts to meet the project schedule, including preparation of progress reports and management plans
-Management of a contract or set of contracts to meet the project budget, including preparation of forecast reports and management plans
-Development of risk management plans for a contract or set of contracts as part of an overall project risk management strategy
-During the design and manufacturing phases the Project Manager is expected to have the capability to lead a team, of internal RWE staff (either FTE or contractor), in excess of 12 persons
-During the Installation and commissioning phases the Project Manager is expected to have the capability to lead a team, of internal RWE staff (either FTE or contractor) and from the contractor, in excess of 50 persons.

Knowledge and Skills:
-Significant and in-depth experience of Project Management in either the Offshore Wind Energy industry
-Demonstrable, in-depth level of competency in managing large scale construction projects.
-Demonstrable, high level of competency in an engineering discipline associated with offshore wind construction projects (i.e. Structural/Civil, Electrical Systems or Wind Turbine Generators)
-Good knowledge of current UK health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 200
--Ability to identify a problem or conflict, identify potential solutions and analyse the solutions leading to a recommendation for the optimum solution
-Experience of the marine environment and/or wind energy would be beneficial, but not essential.
