Currently our client in Norway is urgently in the market for an experience Civil Work Engineer:

Work tasks
Description:
- Be in charge of monitoring the civil engineering work.
- Ensure the compliance of engineering studies with company and QA/QC requirements and general specifications
- Ensure the compliance of the engineering with project specifications, procedures, exceptions/deviations, punch lists.
- Ensure the compliance of the work with applicable codes, standards and best engineering practices, with the aim of reducing investments as much as possible without negatively affecting the required levels of quality and safety in design
- To verify, for his package(s), the engineering documents submitted by the contractor(s) for comments and to ensure compliance with all technical requirements.
- To answer questions and queries, taking into account the contractual environment.
- To review questions and queries regarding exemption or modification requests.
- To anticipate problems in his field of activity and propose solution(s) or optimisation(s).
- To participate in any technical or coordination meeting necessary to fulfil the job responsibility.
- To communicate with the contractor`s team to solve day-to-day problems.
- To liaise with other disciplines to ensure consistency of the works.
- To report regularly on engineering progress to Engineering Manager, highlighting critical problems, drifts and malfunctions.
- To evaluate his workload and advise on potential problems.
- To participate in HAZOP, HAZID and PTR reviews.
- To participate in engineering meetings.
- Ensure technical requirements are included in the CFT documents regarding onshore facilities.
- To perform technical evaluation of tenders regarding EPC work.
- To coordinate the verification of methods and engineering documents, including possible independant verification
- To organise the supervison of the onshore construction & installation work at site

Qualifications:
- Professional experience: 8-10 years
- Experience from civil trade in development of onshore facilities for Norwegian oil & gas industry.
- Fluent in English (oral and writing)
