Currently our direct client, who is one of Europe`s leading Energy providers and who develop, maintain and construct offshore wind parks, are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join their team in the UK for a long term project.

Job Title: Risk Manager
Team: Project/Construction
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
The candidate will have overall responsibility for the collection, analysis and reporting of project risk information for the construction project, and will be UK based with occasional travel within the UK and Europe.

Job Purpose:

The Project Risk Manager is responsible for following areas of work:
1. - The collection and analysis of information on project risks, as per the organisations risk management requirements.
2. - The reporting of project risks, according to clients reporting requirements

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

A) Risk Management as per clients Requirements
1. - Updating the project risk register monthly. The update shall cover all already identified risks as well as new occurred risks.
2. - Organising and managing package risk review workshops every six months. In exceptional cases a risk workshop can be carried out immediately if a high-risk situation is becoming apparent.
3. - Assessing any impact of financial risks caused by an unforeseen incidents at the site (e.g. adverse weather, poor performance of contractor etc.) as soon as possible.
4. - Meeting with all Package Managers monthly and attending monthly Project Team and Engineering Team meetings, in order to understand and update the risk register.
5. - Guaranteeing that all regulations of the clients risk guidelines (see the clients management guide) are observed and actively implemented in the overall reporting system of the project.

B) Reporting
1. - Providing Risk data to the following reports:
a) The monthly project Steering Committee report.
b) The monthly project Globe (Central Construction Team) report.
c) Other ad-hoc reports, as required.
2. - Provide risk data to (and meet with) the project Commercial Analyst, to allow risk values to be reflected accurately in the project financial reporting.


Dimensions of the Project:
- The project will have 219MW generating capacity, and a capital cost of c. �£700m.
- The role will be primarily based in the UK, with occasional travel in the UK and Europe.

Desired Skills & Experience

Key Skill Requirements:
The post holder will preferably:-
- Have tertiary educational qualifications in a commercial or engineering discipline.
- Have an understanding of risk in the engineering or offshore sector.
- Have demonstrable experience in managing project systems.
- Be experienced in the collection, analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Be highly motivated.
- Have excellent IT and presentation skills.
- Be a strong team player.
