Category/Procurement Manager - Central London

My client, a high profile media company, is looking for a Category/Procurement Manager to join their team in Central London.

This post requires someone who is available immediately with no notice period. Start date 24th September.

Key responsibilities
1. Managing a spend category
2. With the senior category manager:

  • Developing a strategy for the procurement and development of a category.
  • Managing the resources needed to procure and develop a category.
  • Influencing key stakeholders and customers.
  • Delivering a range of category objectives, including financial savings and the optimisation of the P2P process.
  • Managing the category supplier relationships.

3. Representing procurement in both the internal and external markets.

Person Specification
1. Strong academic record
2. Ideally professionally qualified
2. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
3. Good analytical/data skills
4. Good communication skills, both written and oral
5. Interest and awareness of categories
6. Awareness of procurement practices
7. Team player
8. Excellent Customer Service Skills
