Our client, a leading global IT outsourcer and business solutions provider, currently has a need for an experienced Messaging Migration Engineer to work at an executive level.
To be part of a virtual team, engaged with our customers to support their major project outcomes. The projects are highly complex requiring an ability to work autonomously in a blended team of client and vendor staff to deliver to the defined project milestones. An overview of the role to be performed is detailed below:
Overview:
- Provide expertise and support to assist our client in transitioning a large user base from an existing GroupWise to Exchange environment.
- Detailed migration plans and discovery documentation of existing environment
- Engineering proof of concept
- Complete testing and pilot phases
- Administer large scale migration of users to a future state exchange environment
- Detail operational processes and procedures
- Liaise with business units to determine specific requirements
- Provide technical guidance to program leadership on migration strategy
- At least 5 years experience in enterprise AD and Windows environments
- Enterprise Exchange 2007 experience (2500+ seats)
- Strong background Novell eDirectory and AD specific complexities
- Past experience in migration from Legacy mail platforms to Exchange
- Possesses appropriate Microsoft certifications or industry relevant experience
