Financial Accountant - Cheshire

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Top Tier Bank in Cheshire as a Finance Accountant.
The role holder will be required to:
- Provide a detailed understanding of a specific complex financial subject
- Provide guidance on all aspects of the Financial Control framework, standards and policies
- Review of FD Attestations, challenging the standards of work done and driving improvements - 20%
- Review of GL Controls process and support of RBB COO GL Controls framework and agreeing corrective actions including Financial Control Reviews at Offshore locations- 15%
- RACE and INFORM superuser for RBBCOO and management of these system each month to ensure all analysis and sign off for each legal entity is completed and deadlines met and to provide training to the RACE/INFORMS users within each location - 15%
- Support for the Legal Entity set-up and compliance in all off-shore locations including liaison with local authorities, auditors and senior internal stakeholders and management of all risks, as directed - 10%
- Completion of all DEA and OET testing for GRB COO SOX compliance 10%
- Support for the Year and half year external PWC audits 5%
- Review of nominal ledger transactions, checking compliance to Barclays Chart of Accounts IAS guidelines. 5%
- Management of the BSS and BTCI Mauritius Holding companies - ensuring information is received from IP and posted to SAP and that all accounts are reconciled and reviewed in ARRTs 5%
- Work on ad-hoc projects, as required - 15%
Key skills/experience:
Essential
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
- Experience in audit reporting
- Finance control experience
- Reporting knowledge regarding- P&L, Balance sheets, Forecasting and Budgeting
