Description

Global pharmaceutical organisation require a Senior Procurement Associate to assists the CMs and SCMs with managing key supplier relationships by supporting communications needs, building cross-category knowledge, and adopting procurement best practices. Once contracts have been executed, Sr Associate Procurement helps ensure that suppliers are providing a high level of service. The Sr Associate Procurement plays a critical role by assisting to:

-Identify opportunities for improving processes and client / supplier relationships
-Conduct historical spend analyses to identify opportunities for improvements
-Identify supplier performance metrics and monitor performance against these
-Conduct RFP, RFI, and RFQs
-Develop and Assist in Contract Negotiations/Change Notices/Amendments/PO

The Sr Associate Procurement is also responsible for the financial and industry analyses that support the supplier contracting process and cost benefit analyses. The skills required for this position include excellent analytical skills and critical thinking capacity. They play an important role in supporting supplier screening and selection:

-Conduct detailed analysis of the industry and supplier pool to qualify potential suppliers to do business with the client
-Identify client groups, evaluate customer requirements, and match these requirements to supplier offerings
-Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to identify hidden costs and benefits of each offering
-Conduct cost-benefit analyses to decide between competitive suppliers
-Conduct industry benchmark analyses to identify differences among pools of suppliers and their offerings

EDUCATION/LICENSES

-BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

-5+ year`s procurement experience. Experience in pharmaceuticals / biotech and Capital Projects (Construction) or other relevant industries strongly desired.
