Functieomschrijving: Senior Network engineer willing to become a BCP specialist

The SNet Infrastructure consists of:
Network InfrastructureThe LAN in the buildings (approximately 80 buildings spread over Brussels, Luxembourg)
The connections between these buildings as WAN
The interconnection with other providers with dynamic routing and VPN.
Security and Internet
InfrastructureThe security perimeter consists in a multi layer infrastructure of Firewalls and VPN of different vendors.
The incoming and outgoing accesses with the external world pass through dedicated appliances working as proxies and reverse proxies.
DNS infrastructure and authentication Servers are part of our domain of competences.

The scope of services extends to the provision of the following support services:
Managing the whole infrastructure
Day to day operation
Construction and design
Testing of new equipment, releases and configurations
Development of the services

A team of 35 peoples is working permanently on-site (Brussels and Luxembourg).

Specific Activities:
- Act as the interface between technical/operational team (NMS II organization) and the client for BCP. Responsible of the BCP escalation process inside the NMS II organization
- Follow-up of the continuous improvement of the BCP process
- Ensure the development of multiple business continuity plans for different pré-defined disaster BCP scenarios for the different services delivered by NMS II.
- Risk management: Ensuring that risks identified and pertaining to the BCP/NSCP processes are addressed.
- Ensure that adequate BCP documentation are developed for the different Digit C2-NS services and maintenance of this documentation
- Planning and leading DRP (disaster recovery plan) tests and ensure correct review of processes and documentation if needed after the tests
- Planning and leading BCP tests and ensure correct review of processes and documentation if needed after the tests
- Ensuring DRP documentation and processes are in line with the NSCP and BCP processes
- BCP processes compliance with corporate EC policies
- Train the NMS II organization on these BCP processes
- Analyze impact of other processes on the BCPs

Technical knowledge:
Ideally basis knowledge of:
- MPLS technology (EoMPLS, VPLS, )
- Routing protocols(OSPF, BGP,ISIS), QoS, Multicast, Tunneling, Internet sharing etc..
- CISCO LAN Switches
- CISCO Routers
- Cisco CSM (load balancing of Firewalls and layer 4 switching)
- At least CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate), being able to become CCNP (Certified Cisco Network Professional) within 1 year.
- Good knowledge of Security and Internet services

Concerning BCP, the person will be coached by our BCP specialists. Skills in the following area is a:
plus:
- CBCP,CBRM, Itil V3 certifications or other relevant professional certification is preferred.

Location and Timing issues:
- Provision of the above mentioned services basically in Luxembourg, with a possibility to work in Brussels about 2 day per month.
- Project Business hours: 7H-19H >= being able to regularly start at 7AM and being able to
regularly end at 7PM
- Occasional Network interventions outside of normal working hours may be requested
