Marketing Communications Manager (Public Policy)

Marketing Communications Manager urgently required for a contract position based in London. Initially it is expected that the split of work will be around 50% on the Ministerial Programme event and 50% support of Public Policy initiatives.
The Marketing Communications Manager will create and deliver project and departmental communications to a variety of audiences including government ministers, telecoms regulators, mobile operators and vendors.
Responsibilities will include:
*Managing production of marketing materials, including case studies, infographics, email campaigns, videos and podcasts
*Editing copy and some copywriting for research reports, annual reports, marketing collateral. email marketing and other marketing materials
*Producing web content and managing team's online strategy, including social media accounts and blogs
*Advising the Public Policy department on the brand and style guide
*Managing relationships with suppliers, such as event, design and print agencies, in the UK and abroad
*Other ad-hoc marketing and communications activities as required.
Skills and experience required:
*This role would suit a person with experience in a diverse marketing communications role and a proven ability to manage and deliver marketing and promotional activities in a B2B or public sector environment.
*An ability to think creatively in order to find solutions to a variety of different communications challenges
*The capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively, often working to tight deadlines
*Experience of producing the following deliverables: events, online, printed collateral, publishing web content
*Desirable: Experience of using Wordpress or other CMS, basic HTML skills
*Desirable: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
*Desirable: International government/ICT/Mobile telecommunications sector experience
*We have a strong preference for some international experience
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse global stakeholders
