VAX Developer - 3 month initial Contract - Cheltenham based - £39p/h
My client a leading aviation client with offices in Cheltenham is looking for a Vax Developer to work on initial 3 month contract. The successful candidate must hold a valid security clearance and have experience in porting VAX applications into a Microsoft environment. This position is offering circa £39 her hour.
Essential Skills
Experience in porting Fortran/VAX applications into a Microsoft environment using Charon - VAX
Ability to analyze application performance statistics to enhance performance
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively in corporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
Strong analytical skills - strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates in formation/data to make decisions; anticipate sobs TACLes and develops plans to resolve
Change oriented - actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change , and confronts difficult circum stances in creative ways
