We are looking for JAVA J2EE Technical leads and Java Team Leaders for this dynamic international company based in the heart of Dublin
These are key development lead roles requiring very strong technical and communications skills. You will have responsibility for leading the technical implementation of new features and extensions to their market leading applications. Leading a team of developers in an Agile Scrum and work with an onsite team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers and a product stakeholder.
You should demonstrate strong Java and J2EE skills, with an emphasis on developing cutting edge high performance web based functionality. Exposure to and knowledge of continuous integration, software release management techniques and interfacing with test engineers as part of any major software development project is expected.
Whilst these are hands on design & development roles and require a strong software development background, actual coding tasks are limited as part of the daily role. Close contact with the team's design and development will be required to ensure projects stay on track, design intention is followed and adjusted as needed and quality output is maintained.
You should be able to demonstrate the following experience;
Experienced Senior Developer/Team leader with broad understanding of all the components of large consumer facing web applications.
5 plus years Java/J2EE development experience
A minimum of 1 year's experience in leading, mentoring and code reviewing for more Junior developers
JUnit, Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, Web services, Oracle Stored Procedures
Requires a very strong level of interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
J2EE architecture and design patterns
Knowledge of Unit Testing
Knowledge of Continuous Integration
Practical knowledge of Source Control Management, specifically branching, tagging and merging of different code streams
