Role: Storage & Backup Consultant
Location: London, UK
Role Type: 3 months Rolling Contract
Required Skills:
. Detailed Knowledge of Fiber Channel SAN Topologies.
. Specialized Knowledge of EMC Clariion CX3, CX4, VNX series, vMAX series, Brocade Switches, EMC Connectrix, Cisco MDS SAN Switches.
. Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows, ESXi, OS integration with EMC SAN.
. Detailed knowledge & hands-on experience of all of the Data Domain, Avamar, NetWorker, EMC Disk Library (EDL), Data Protection Advisor (DPA)
. Detailed Knowledge of all of the EMC Backup and DR applications.
. Prior experience of migrating NetApps storage to EMC storage.
. Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, FCoE architecture
. Knowledge of backup on Tape Libraries.
. Knowledge of Cloud Design & Architecture concepts on Vmware, Microsoft Hyper-V.
. Design and assist in technical team in implementation of EMC SAN environment.
. Key focus is the daily storage and Backup operations with the following core responsibilities aligned to the customer's operational policies and procedures:
- System Monitoring
- Trouble-shooting
- Storage Provisioning
- Performance Monitoring
- Incident Handling
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Agreed Service Level Agreement turn-around
- Regional Operational Handover
- High Availability, Disaster Recovery/BCP
