Web Designer, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Jquery
I am keen to speak to Web Designers for a 6 month contract based in Manchester. Candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 years professional web design experience.
Role
The Web Designer works as part of a team responsible for the delivery of compliant (legal and corporate standards) and effective web-sites by providing templates, style sheets, skeleton sites, media support, best practice and guidelines to content providers across the Faculty.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Specifically the Web Designer will be expected to have:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional web design experience
- Proven web design and development experience
- Proven knowledge of HTML, advanced CSS and Web Accessibility
- Experience in the use of web authoring tools such as Dreamweaver
- Experience of web design within a Content Management
- Experience in the use of graphics and design packages such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience in the use of web content management systems
- Some experience of working with JQuery and Javascript
- Some experience of coordinating/working within project environments
- An understanding of best practice within the web environment
- Experience of prototyping websites
- Experience of providing frontIine web support and guidance to customers
- An understanding Usability & Accessibility with regards to web design
