T26 - Data Management Engineer - iBoM Team (020414)
6 Month Initial Contract, Scotstoun, Glasgow Based
The purpose of this role is to facilitate the development of the data in the iBoM across the life cycle, as part of the iBoM Team. The role will be part of a central multi-functional team and needs to take into consideration all functional viewpoints when carrying out the role.
Key Technical Skills:
- Clear understanding of the Product Lifecycle (incl. different functions roles and needs)
- Understanding of what a Bill of Materials (BoM) is and it's roles through life
- Familiarity with Windchill
- Understanding of information requirements to support Part Modelling within CAD
- Experience in parts requests/creation (desirable)
- Experience in maturity management (incl. part and data element level)
- Experience in multi-disciplined engineering and multi-functional environments
- Understanding of use and implementation of meaningful metrics.
- Good general IT skills - primarily web based application and MS Office.
Key Leadership/People Mgmt Skills
- Ability to manage expectations with Customers and deliver on commitments
- Encourage and put into action improvements in a developing approach environment
- Ability to work to tight timescales
- Ability to build positive and effective relationships with internal Subject Matter Experts across all functions
