My client is a large Banking Group based in Bristol, they are currently recruiting for finance analysts to work on a large cost saving initiative.

This is set to be a very long term contract role with the potential to go permanent after a period of time.

This cost saving programme is tasked with removing a huge amount of overall 3rd party costs by within the next 2 years. It is a high profile programme with visibility at board level and is a key focus.

The finance team comprises of around 15 members of staff who are responsible for the Sourcing Process, Governance and Reporting for both the cost reductions achieved and investment spend to deliver the programme.

The finance analyst will be required to:

- Bare responsility for input to the systems forecasting of all cost reductions for all years of the programme
- Liaise with staff in all Divisions across the bank to control the month end booking of cost reductions
- Control the month end process for Spend incurred to date against the programme: including all month end journals and accounting adjustments
- Control, forecast and report spend against the programme ( SAP accounting system), liaising extensively with the Sourcing Project Management Office

Skills required:

- Qualified or Part Qualified accountant
- Project accounting experience
- Strong Excel
- SAP is of distinct advantage
- Relationship management experience
